Our well-trained sales and customer service staff will work with you to determine the best, most cost-effective material for your application.

WILL PRINTED METAL AND PLASTIC LABELS LAST OUTDOORS?

Screen printed products can last five to ten years outdoors.  Our Metalphoto® photo imaging process, which creates a grayscale or black image, can last for over 20 years in direct sunlight.  Metalphoto® is recognized as the most durable aluminum substrate in the marketplace.

WHEN SHOULD I ETCH OR LASER A MATERIAL RATHER THAN SCREEN PRINT?

Although screen printed parts can be quite durable, etched or lasered parts are recommended for harsh indoor or outdoor applications where exposure to weather, temperature extremes, sunlight, and chemicals is possible.

WHAT ABOUT ARTWORK AND GRAPHICS?

You can provide your own artwork or we can help with your design. We have a full graphics staff that can develop your artwork from a description, drawing or sketch.

WHAT FORMAT SHOULD I USE TO SUBMIT MY ARTWORK?

Our preferred file types are:

.AI Adobe Illustrator .PDF Adobe Acrobat
.EPS Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, AutoCad, etc. .TIFF Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop
.JPEG Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Illustrator .DWG AutoCad
  .DXF AutoCad

CAN I REVIEW OR REVISE MY ARTWORK PRIOR TO LABEL PRODUCTION?

Yes.  We can e-mail a .PDF art proof at no charge for your review and approval before we begin production.

IF DRAWINGS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, CAN YOU USE AN EXISTING PANEL?

Yes, we can take your part and convert it into a print for your review and approval.

WHAT ABOUT SETUP CHARGES?

Setup charges are one-time charges.  There are setup charges associated with the following (not all are required for every job):

  Artwork/Film Silkscreen Fabrication
  Steel Rule Die Tooling

Repeat orders do not require additional setup charges unless there are revisions to the label.

WHO OWNS THE ITEMS REQUIRED TO MAKE MY PARTS?

It is common practice in this industry that the supplier retains ownership of all items (silkscreens, steel rule dies, and tooling) made to fit our equipment and processes.  We will maintain these setup items in serviceable condition at our expense.

WHAT ABOUT ADHESIVE OR MOUNTING HOLES FOR MY LABELS?

Adhesive can be applied to almost any label.  We can recommend what adhesive works well with your particular application.  Mounting holes are typically used for heavier gauge metal labels (0.032 or thicker) where adhesive may not be adequate.

DO YOU HAVE LABELS IN STOCK?

We are a custom label manufacturer and typically do not have stock.  However, we do sometimes maintain overruns of a particular label as stock for future orders.

CAN I SEE A SAMPLE BEFORE I PLACE AN ORDER?

Yes. We can provide you with a sample of a similar product for review and testing.  If you require a prototype, we will include the cost in our quotation.

WHAT IS YOUR MINIMUM OR MAXIMUM RUN SIZE?

We have the capability to produce one label to tens of thousands of labels.

WHAT IS YOUR LEAD TIME?

Our normal lead time is two to three weeks for your first order and two weeks or less for repeat orders.  This may vary slightly depending on complexity of part, availability of materials, and work load.  We understand that in some cases an order needs to be "rushed" and we will do our utmost to meet those requests.

CAN I GET MY LABELS FASTER?

Yes.  In some cases we can offer Expedited Delivery for an additional charge.

HOW DO I GET A QUOTE?

Call us toll-free at 800-822-8795 or use our Request a Quote form to send your artwork.  We can usually provide same day pricing.

WHERE ARE YOUR PRODUCTS MANUFACTURED?

We do as much of our work in-house as possible.  Because we are a custom job shop, we do use local outside contractors to meet some customer requests and to make tooling and fixtures.  Be aware, though, that there is a growing trend on the Internet where "label shops" appear to offer a huge variety of label products when, in fact, they are only middle men who manufacture very little or none of their own products!

WHAT IF I'M NOT SATISFIED WITH MY LABELS?

If our products fail to meet your expectations, we offer to replace your labels or offer credit for another label order.  Please contact us within 2 weeks of receiving your order to take advantage of this offer.  Our Satisfaction Guarantee covers manufacturing defects, production or quality issues, and material problems.  It does not cover customer artwork issues such as spelling errors.  Keep in mind that you should be able to "catch" any artwork problems before receiving your labels because we will send an e-mail art proof for approval before running any job.
